Championship Preview

LFW takes a brief look at Saturday's Championship Play Off Final between Bristol City v Hull City.

What is now dubbed as 'The Richest Game in Football', takes place this coming Saturday from Wembley as Bristol City and Hull City will battle out for a place to join West Brom and Stoke in the Premier League next season.

Well, I was half right in my preview a couple of weeks ago as I tipped a Palace/Hull final. To be honest, I just couldn't see Bristol City doing it, but home and away victories over the form team, Crystal Palace has meant a trip to Wembley, which is just reward for a great season for the newly promoted side.

Hull on the other hand, just missed out on automatic promotion on the final day of the season. But the Tigers comprehesively beat Watford over two legs, following a quite storming run and they will no doubt be going into the game as favourites. Some may argue, myself included, that it is only right that the team finishing third should go up. But when did the play offs ever go to plan??

For those who would be interested in a prediction, I am going for Hull, but only just...

Good Luck to Both Teams!!
