Saints Linked With Young Italian Midfielder
Saints are being linked with a player who is co owned by two italian clubs so are we dealing with Inter Milan or Torino ?
The player in question is Inter Milan midfielder Marco Benassi who was a full Inter player up to last summer when he was sold to Torino under a co ownership agreement.
He seems to have flourished at Torino and his form earned him a call up to the full Italian squad by manager Ceasare Prandelli who has been calling up those as he sees as potential future full caps to evaluate them.
Saints are now being linked with a £5.7 million bid in order to secure full ownership of the defensive midfielder who will turn 21 in September.
Again perhaps a link or perhaps there is nothing there, however this is the sort of player Saints are trying to spot these days, young talent ready to blossom
