Saints Already Have Their Bids In
Saints are expecting to make another signing within the next 48 hours as they prepare for life without that bloke who went to Spurs.
Saints have already lodged bids with other lubes as they make signing a central defender their priority, they always had a plan B if Alderweireld did not return to St Mary's and that plan is already in full swing.
Les Reed has confirmed that the club has already launched bids for their main targets and they are hoping to see the fruits of that labour within 48 hours.
Reed though is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't, although Saints fans like to hear positive news, sometimes that can backfire when nothing happens, Reed would perhaps have been better to keep quiet until a signing was in the bag rather than set time scales hat if not reached can make the club look like it is failing in its strategy.
