LFW Pub Guide - The Walkabout

The Walkabout on Shepherds Bush Green gets a once over from LFW regulars, although it is more of an away fans pub these days.

Name of pub: The Walkabout

Location: Shepherds Bush Green

Size: Large

Selection of beers: Standard Walkabout choice.

Price of drinks: Slightly lower than the other independents in the area.

How full does it get on a matchday? Depends on the visiting team - big away support often fills the place.

Fitness of bar staff: Fit Aussie barmaids a plenty.

How long does it take to walk to the ground from there? Ten minutes.

Sky Sports? Yes but good luck getting them to show the football in there, even if it is advertised outside, if it clashes with any form of rugby, cricket, AFL, surfing, rock climbing etc

Suitable for away fans? Yes, often more away fans than home.

Suitable for families and kids? Yes.

Beer garden? No

As far as pub toilets go, just how bad are these? Not too bad at all.

Does it serve food? Yes although the Walkabout food seems to be getting worse and worse the more and more outlets they open - and it wasn't very good to start with.

Trendy modern bar, traditional pub or somewhere in between? Modern.

In one sentence why should people visit/steer clear of this pub? From an away fans' point of view it's one of the only ones near the ground you will have no trouble getting in. From a QPR fans' point of view there are much better options close by -Northernr
