Details For Those Travelling To FC Midtjylland

For the information of those travelling to Denmark to watch Saints play FC Midtjylland in the Europa League we publish some of the information sent out by Saints regarding tickets etc.

We can understand that Saints decided to issue tickets in Denmark rather than over here due to the number of supporters who used their customer number to buy tickets for the Vitesse away fixture for friends.

Supporters who had a reasonable amount of games on their account found that those who hadn't got tickets ahead of them, therefore whilst its understandable that Saints should wish to stop this, its a little strange that the club have kept secret how those travelling to the game will get the tickets up until 2 days before the game.

Some supporters have already left for Denmark and there will also be those that do not have e mail addresses or perhaps the Saints on line system (not a simple system in itself) does not have the correct e mail address.

For the benefit of those we publish some of the arrangements as e mailed to supporters as a public service.

FC Midtjylland has its home at the MCH Arena in Herning, Denmark. It seats up to 11,800 and Away Fans are located in the area ‘Uderhold’ which literally translates to ‘Away Team’

MCH Arena is located within Herning Exhibition Centre 3.7 km south of the city centre in an area which can only be described as "out of town” and "relatively rural”.

Herning Station is 3.4 km north of MCH Arena. The station reflects the relative size of the municipality with two platforms, and infrequent services to Copenhagen which take around three and a half hours.

The walk to the station takes around 40 mins from the stadium

On matchdays you can catch a train service to the exhibition centre’s station which is known as "Herning Messecenter”.

Southampton Football Club are providing buses to transport fans to the stadium and back. Full information on times and locations will be provided at the point of ticket collection.

Ticket Collection

Tickets can be collected on production of photographic ID from Scandic Regina Hotel between 12.00 and 17.00. This is less than a 5 min walk from the Østergade where the main pubs and restaurants are located.
