Saints V Liverpool The Verdict

There is not a lot to say about what happened at St mary's last night other than to forget it and move on.

With 24 minutes gone against Liverpool and Saints winning 1-0 there was not a lot to suggest that the game was about to be turned on its head.

The stat that says Liverpool has 7 shots on target and 6 went in is probably the most telling, they had one of those nights were everything they hit went in.

So from this perspective the only thing to do is draw a line under the game, move on and focus on getting it right against Aston Villa on Saturday, if we win that game then everything will look a lot rosier and to be blunt if we sit sixth in the League as disappointing as last night was we have to put the season in perspective and say that we would have taken this position a year ago, two years ago and three years ago we would have snatched your hand off.

It is of course very disappointing but we cannot dwell on it, we have to move on, there is nothing to be gained it was a freak result.

Enough Said !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
