Lee Returns On Loan
Elliot Lee has signed on loan from West Ham United until the end of the season.
It's the 21-year-old forward's second spell with the U's, having spend one month on loan in 2013, where he scored one goal (a stoppage time equaliser in the 2-2 draw at Rotherham) in four appearances.
Since his time at United Way, he's had loans at Southend United, Luton Town, and Blackpool, making 15 appearances and scoring three goals (all three for Luton). He's also made five appearances for the Hammers' first team, one in the Premier League and four in the Europa League, scoring his first goal for the club against Andorran side FC Lusitanos.
In other news, Byron Lawrence has left the U's by mutual consent. The midfielder had made just one first team appearance since signing from Ipswich Town in September 2014. He was Tony Humes' first signing.
