Perkins signs contract extension
Dale's midfield terrier David Perkins has signed a twelve month extension to his current contract, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2008-9 season.
This will go down as a great boost to the club at a time when we perhaps we
could do with one. We had run the risk of losing Perkins on a free transfer at
the end of this season when his contract expired, but it's one less worry now
knowing that we have secured his services for a further season.
The midfielder has been a revelation since the club paid Morecambe a four
figure sum for his services earlier this year, and it seemed like he was making
the man of the match awards his own at the back end of last season.
