Danny Ings Completes Move To St Mary's

According to the Liverpool Echo Danny Ings has now completed his move to Saints after his initial season on loan, making it a double day of incoming signings.

It hasn't been announced officially by Saints yet, but according to the Liverpool Echo who presumably know a thing or two about Liverpool Football Club, Danny ings has now completed the signing of the deal that will make his initial one year loan period permanent.

It seems that once again it is all about that July 1st contract date that means that it was financially attractive for the player to be a Liverpool player when he woke up this morning and various contractual bonus's became due and having received those he will go to sleep tonight officially a full time player for his home town club.

The news is set to be announced soon and Saints have possibly delayed the announcement due to their signing of Che Adams this morning.

Again good news for the club and Ings 7 Premier League goals was still a reasonable total given his injuries and if he can stay fit in the coming season his ability to not only score goals but bring others into play by creating space and chances for others will surely be a big asset.

The Liverpool Echo are quoting the deal as being worth £18 million up front with a possible £2 million in add ons and a 20% sell on clause.

Ings was well rated on Merseyside and loved by the Liverpool fans, only injury prevented him establishing himself and by the time he was fully fit again others had joined the club and were ahead in the pecking order.

The sell on clause shows that Liverpool feel that he might yet have a big money move in him.
