Williams demands Swans response after Hull loss - Oppo Profile

Swansea have been inconsistent all season but hit a low performance point in defeat to Hull last time out and manager Luke Williams is now looking for a response, according to Phil at Planet Swans.

How's the season been for Swansea so far?

Consistently inconsistent. Win a few, draw a few, lose a few. We are the very definition on where you will find us Boxing Day – we are a mid-table side playing average football most of the time

Couple of defeats coming into this one after a good run of form, what can we expect from the Swans on Boxing Day?

As said, we are very inconsistent. We looked amazing against Sunderland for half hour but in a hundred and fifty minutes since we have been anything but. Luke Williams talked on the weekend about needing a reaction and if this group of players cannot produce that reaction after the shambles at Hull then questions will be asked on their longevity as Swansea City players.

Opinion of Luke Williams a year into the job? Looks to be a really good fit from the outside...>b?

He has a squad that is pretty damn average. You can see what he is trying to do but it should be no surprise that some of his football is reminiscent of Russell Martin football. Too many passes that mean nothing and not enough intensity. It is tough to know whether that is because of the poor squad we have or whether his style of management will never work for us. I’m on the fence but certainly would like to see him given longer

What needs doing in January?

We need more than just a January window. We lack creativity, pace and goals. And a couple more defenders. You see the problem here?

Stand out players?

Liam Cullen has surprised many but we have very few stand out players. You do enough of these interviews maybe you could ask opposition "which Swansea City player would you bring into your squad” as not sure many names are on the tip of their lips.

Weak Links?

The lack of creativity, pace and goals referenced earlier. Too many squad players who we rely on week in week out.

Revised expectations for the season?

We’ll be mid table. Exactly where we deserve to be.
