Former player gets NI start
....but it's not Rory McArdle
It had been widely expected that Rory McArdle would make given the chance to make his first international appearance this evening, after his call up to the full Northern Ireland squad for the first time for their game with Turkey.
But he will have to make do with a place on the bench and hope to be brought on if he is to become Dale's fourth ever international - he still remains a Dale player until the end of June when his transfer to Aberdeen goes through.
The Rory who is making his international debut is Rory Patterson, who had a brief spell with Dale making a handful of appearances in the early part of the last decade.
Since leaving Dale, Patterson had a period with FCUM before returning to Northern Ireland, with his current side Coleraine.
Dale's previous internationals are Patrick McCourt, Lee McEvilly and Leo Bertos.
