Play Offs to be secured on Saturday?

Dale can secure their place in the Play Offs on Saturday when they take on Morecambe at Spotland. Kick Off 3pm.

The Play Off picture is getting very simple at this point. There are several combinations which could see Dale guarantee our place in the Play Offs.

Three points for Dale against the Shrimps will make sure that Dale have secured a top seven position irrespective of how Play Off rivals Chesterfield do this afternoon. A win would take Dale to 78 points - the record points total for the club, which was secured when making the Play Offs back in 2002.

However, should Dale fail to win this afternoon, that Play Off place can still be obtained should Chesterfield fail to beat fellow Play Off contenders Darlington this afternoon at Saltergate.

For us to miss out on the Play Offs now would require Chesterfield winnning every game between now and the end of the season, and Dale failing to pick up more than a point during that time. It would also need Wycombe and Darlington passing Dale also.
