Good News on Leadbitter Injury
Town have received some rare good news on the injury front with midfielder Grant Leadbitter’s ankle injury not as serious as first feared. The former Sunderland man is a doubt ahead of Saturday’s game at Crystal Palace, but has not chipped an ankle bone as was first thought.
The 24-year-old picked up the knock in a tackle with Burnley’s Clarke Carlisle shortly before the break and was on crutches after the match. The Blues reported no other new injuries from Saturday’s game.
Meanwhile, former Town striker David Lowe, 44, has joined the coaching staff at Tranmere Rovers.
