The Frankie Friday Music Thread.....RIP 07:01 - Apr 4 with 2040837 viewsLblock

Here I am starting this from my recovery bed and no clue how to link tunes on an iPhone!

Will stick on my offerings from a PC later unless the other knuckles thread is the preference to use?

House classics and dancey dazzlers only, no hijacking from suicide rock please!

In the beginning there was jack.......

Been meaning to update for years.
Can only be one.......

Suns out . Weekend is here. :)

Lets go Reinforced.

Wicked label

Wasn’t that Mickey Finn Ruff Justice original home?

I do miss those Old Skool Friday monthly shows you boys used to do from time to time on RFM mate.
They really took me back to some hot, sweaty, crazy, dinner plate pupil times!!

Of course…..

That was on Urban Shakedown. Some Justice it's called. Micky Finn made some great tracks and his DJ sets were top drawer.
Yeh miss those Old skool vinyl sessions. Maybe do another soon. Had a mix tonight and dug up some old rave favs. Be good to get them on air.
Love Nebula 2. They also knew how to make breakbeat bangers!. The other side to Flatliners is also a beast.

Sometimes I flick through my hardcore records and think what a waste it was buying them as I never (extremely rarely) played them out. Then I’ll hear something like Two Bad Mice and check myself – it was a moment in time and at that time I loved it.

Can’t mention that great track by Mickey Finn and not give it a Schofield

Stupid baggy Express Yourself top ripped from Express Milk logo

It's where it all started for me. I missed the Acid House days and jumped in when tunes were pitching up a bit more, breakbeats and samples, Techno 4/4 beats and generally a more frantic harder sound. I loved it. :)
It's a very unique UK sound that pushed every musical barrier and sonics to its extreme. Crafted by kids on Commodor 64s that ripped up the rule book and raised the bar for electronic music. It's probably more punk than punk. 1991 - to early 1993 was the golden era for me for music of that ilk. After that it got pitched up even more and split to pure Jungle and Happy Hardcore and I went back own the House route.
I sold so many tunes back then and it's the most expensive vinyl to buy back now but it's the most fun to mix and out of all the genres it's the one that really takes me back to a time where I didn't have a care in the world.
To misquote ;) - Teenage kicks are hard to beat.

Those early hardcore nights / raves were immense.
Such a brilliant atmosphere in the main (obviously the odd issue here and there); at the time the jungle direction seemed to drag things into a bit more of a sinister area for me and I didn’t enjoy that. Much the same I reset my compass back to house in its purest form.

As you’ll have spotted I love watching back footage of old rave’s; I always, always find myself saying… “you never did get fat ravers”!!!!
The E Plan diet was clearly one that worked for most

Thank God for dance music and football

Love this track. Recorded at Printworks i think. I think hes doing a series of tunes that are recorded within club venues to get inspiration and vibe of the sound systems and dance floor space. Nice idea.

My latest Kaos purchase is this from 2004.
