Yeah I've had a couple of early ones,1600 twin port engines piece of piss to work on.Big trouble is the heating,the controls on the ducts from the heat exchangers used to rust away.Also exhaust manifolds leaked exhaust gases into the heat exchangers sometimes - easy fix.
Custom interiors a must.

Yep. I have a 1970 Devon bay window VW Camper. love them and glad I bought before they started fetching silly money!!
