Having absolutely the worst festival ever.
I've not had a single winner... loads of 3rds and 4ths.
Stupid thing is I was going to back Sizing John this morning and went with cue card as a more certain bet.... Did the same thing yesterday as well with Presenting Percy.

Apologies for going silent for a couple of days!
Was in a big hole on Wed, but Presenting Percy on Thurs, coupled with an excellent day yesterday, meant I finished just fractionally the wrong side of even for the festival. An excellent result given stakes placed and position on Wed eve!
Yesterday was brilliant. The 4 of us there had gone antepost on the Grand Annual winner, Rock the World, at 20/1 three months ago, after getting a tip from some friendly Irish lads last year. There were scenes when that came in for all 4 of us right at the end. Coupled with Defi de Sieul's win and a couple of places on Fri, that saved my festival!
Ended up with 9 2nd places, which is taking the piss, frankly.
However, I did put one bet on today (weaning myself off festival behaviour), and picked the winner in the Midlands National at 20/1. So over, the 5 days, I'm up. Thankfully. On to Aintree! |  | | |
