I worked on all of Soundgarden's early albums in my A&M days. One of the best gigs (and I went to a lot in the 90's) was seeing them at the Kentish Town Forum. Brilliant gig, brilliant crowd, brilliant everything.
RIP.

Tragic news. An amazing singer but also an incredibly talented songwriter. "Badmotorfinger" is surely one of the greatest albums ever and Soundgarden's comeback album "King Animal" was very strong; this track from it is one of my Soundgarden faves:
RFA
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Very sad. Looks like suicide. Good singer in the blues/rock style of Paul Rodgers. For me, came into his own on the first Audioslave album, saw 'em at Brixton in 2003 and Oxygen in Ireland in 2005. Then solo at the Astoria before it closed and finally supporting Sabbath with Soundgarden at Hyde Park three years ago.
