I work at Shepherds Bush central line station and have to deal with various incidents, drunks getting sick, people feeling unwell/ collapsing etc. When dealing with people taken ill, before requesting an ambulance LAS need to know as many details as possible to work out if the the person is a priority. We had such a situation on Sunday. A female was reported collapsed unconscious on the westbound platform. Having despatched two staff members to the scene one of them got the lady awake and went through the list, name, age, any medical conditions, on medication, pregnant . Having fallen and hit her head on a bench she was then asked 'are you hurting anywhere? Do you have bruising? Are you bleeding anywhere? To which she responded with 'yes I'm on my period'.. | |
