As you say, with a lot of clubs signing keepers in the summer, it's hard to see any likely destinations. Forster was terrible last season but just signed a contract extension.

I would prefer Smithies in my side than those that are playing for Bournemouth, Southampton, Palace, Brighton & Newcastle.
West Ham will still require a new goalkeeper come next season, so they can't be ruled completely out of the picture. I don't understand why they have brought Hart in on loan. | | | |

a bit harsh. The lot of a keeper is a tough one and they're competing for just one position. Up to him whether to get paid more at a big club and play occasional big games, or be a regular at lower level championship club (or lower), surely? I can't blame him for taking that decision. Reserve keepers are vital parts of any squad, especially in training, if not so much on the average matchday, bit harsh to dismiss his 'squad player' status. | |
