They've got a record of buying low and selling high, while maintaining performances on the pitch. We'll see if that continues I guess. Big wedge to spend, with the Hogan deal as well, in the coming windows.

Agree - they are financially prudent and have a new stadium coming. Was surprised Jota stayed in the Championship. Would not mind a cheeky bid for Woods or Clarke - both really good players.

They all look really good players until they pull on a hooped shirt.Bidwell, cousins, caulker, puncheon and Delaney all looked like world beaters until we signed them. They played like carpet beaters.

Moneyball innit, no matter what the situation if the algorithm says sell then they sell, including variables like players in the last years of their deals and ability to reinvest parts of the profit.

Jota and Dean where never going to stay and we already brought in a right back in July to replace Colin who was expected to return to France.I bet Harry had never heard of any of these players this time last week.Birmingham the new pompy.Good business again.

Dunno, think you lot were on the cusp of a good thing this season. Credit to prudent management but when it's sell for £10m or gamble (with decent odds) for £200m it seems a little short-sighted arguably. Maybe if you'd had the start to the season you're capable of the board would have resisted?

Classic myth. Let's debunk one by one.
Bidwell - been harshly trated by fans, was part of a poor back 4. already looking better this season.
Cousins - People forget he's only 21 or 22. He's barely played for us.
Caulker - Fair enough, but even he had a good start.
Puncheon - played 8 mins and our fans (and Warnock wrote him off based on that.
Delaney - Did a very decent job for us, moved on at a profit. Not sure what the problem is there.
Bare bones.

Brum sign a new team.
Someone prep Harry's knee surgeon!
Brum left with a lot of shiny new long contracts!
Rather annoyingly Saggy Chops looks like he's strumbled upon some really good players... Shame he was totally blown out by the Premier Leagur rejects he was after!

There was a longer list that Just those few but I couldn't be bothered to name them all.You could pick from Sandro,Wright Phillips,Fer,Phillips and the Spanish midfielder nicknamed the pirate. He knew how to steal a living as a premier league player.

He usually signs good players, his record with us wasn't that bad in terms of the quality he brought in, it was how much it cost which was the problem
It will cost the club a fortune and leave them in a mess long term but short term he tends to put decent teams together

Thankfully there's a big difference between having good players in your team and having a good team. I'm sure HR will prove that statement true in due course (again).

Not much of that income will be spent in the next window. Most will be put towards our heavy losses

Seems strange that you've been selling year after year (Gray, Tarkowski, Odubajo...) and the numbers still don't add up for a guarded tilt at the enormous, club-defining promotion jackpot.
