Mackie for captain? 13:21 - Sep 21 with 1374 views | bosh67 | Saturday and while Ned is out? Seems the logical choice. Only other candidate for me would be Scowen. I know Smithies may be another candidate and he leads by example but never sure about keepers as captains.

Mackie for captain? on 13:39 - Sep 21 with 1324 views | LunarJetman | Is Luongo out then? He was Holloway's choice the last game and can't see it changing unless he's out for any reason.
Mackie for captain? on 13:45 - Sep 21 with 1312 views | TacticalR | The only problem I can foresee is that a big part of Mackie's game is niggling the opposition and sailing close to the wind with the ref. Making him captain might lead to one too many heated conversations with the ref during the game, or alternatively may constrain his game if he's trying to stay off the ref's radar.

Mackie for captain? on 14:11 - Sep 21 with 1258 views | Antti_Heinola | It'll be Baptiste won't it? He's been wearing it. Think Mackie took it after Ned went off v Millwall though.

Mackie for captain? on 14:14 - Sep 21 with 1254 views | francisbowles | Mackie leads by example anyway so I would give it to a midfielder or centre back.

Mackie for captain? on 01:07 - Sep 22 with 911 views | PunteR | Nope , should be Mackie. Luongo is a good player but cant see him as captain material just yet. He's only just found a bit of form, lets not lump extra responsibilities on him just yet.

Mackie for captain? on 07:16 - Sep 22 with 825 views | Roller | Mackie waves his arms around a lot and gets in the ref's face which seems to be some people's definition of a captain. Luongo is surely in pole position, with Bidwell and Scowen just behind.

Mackie does a bit more than just waves his arms around. He's a grafter, always trying to lift the players and sets a good example of playing for the shirt. That'll do me as captain.

Mackie for captain? on 09:03 - Sep 22 with 750 views | simmo | Luongo had it at Boro so no reason he won't keep it. That being said we have loads of captains, at least a lot of people that were skippers elsewhere. Smithies, Lynch, Bidwell, etc. Add in experienced pros like Mackie, Baptiste, etc and there's no shortage. Doesn't matter too much to me though, the club captain is quite important especially as they take on so many off-field responsibilities too, but temp captain is more a nice thing but shouldn't be read into too much

Mackie for captain? on 09:10 - Sep 22 with 743 views | Esox_Lucius | Luongo for me. Baptiste maybe, next. Midfielders are in the best position to see what's going on around them, IMO, followed by a defender.

Mackie for captain? on 09:20 - Sep 22 with 730 views | Watford_Ranger | Will Mackie necessarily play? This is the sort of game where I'd have one of Smith or Sylla in from the start.
Mackie for captain? on 13:21 - Sep 22 with 646 views | daveB | Luongo a doubt for tomorrow so he probably won't be captain either
