If it's implemented properly. We have a Directof of Football but unfortunately we're still going through the same cycle where every time we change manager we have a fundamental change in footballing philosophy. Surely the DoF role is about maintaining a consistent philosophy so that the system works regardless of personnel.
Watford also make a mockery of this claim that you can't achieve anything without 'stability'. They've been anything but stable on the footballing personnel front, yet they've managed to get promoted and stay in the Premier League. |  |
