How many seats do Liverpool have at £9? Not that many I reckon. Makes it look good on lists like these though.

edit: From Liverpool's own website;

"Local fans will now be able to attend a category C game for as little as £9 following the introduction of over 20,000 tickets across the season with priority access given to local supporters."

There's nothing to say how many of those are £9 but lets say all of them.

20,000 divided by 19 = 1,052 per game. How many games are Category C? No more than 6 I reckon so that a max of 6,312 out of 1,026,000 over the season. Hardly going to bankrupt them but good PR.

Not sure if my calculation above stands up but 0.6% of available tickets at £9. I reckon the real % is even less.


Just like Flavio's famous '£20 fan' comment convieniently forgetting (or not even knowing/caring) there were only a few hundred sets at that price, hardly cheap seats for the masses.
