Might as well give Phillips a shot at CB. He seems to have the chops for it. No sense in shoe-horning a midfielder into the role.
From memory, I think Wheeler has played in an advanced role before and both he and Freeman can pull out wide if necessary. I think Ollie might plump for Washington, however, as he seems to get used in games like this.

He talks incessantly about training his players to play multiple systems and often changes formations 3-4 times in the space of a game so adapting at short notice should be no excuse. Except for individuals that may have to play slightly outside their usual positions, it shouldn't be too big a problem to tweak things where necessary. | |

I agree with you, Simmo (as ever) except that this really was last-minute. I think, in fairness, that if you've studied the oppo and picked a plan, then worked on it for a couple of days on the training ground then it's probably best to stick to it if you can at all. | |
