Cheggers Goes Pop! Was part of my Saturday morning diet as a kid on the Multi-Coloured Swap Shop. Loved that programme and always tried to phone in for something to swap. Finally got onto the swap board at number 9 one weekend. Swapped some Subbuteo teams for a Rebound game.
I Remember Cheggers got a mention in the book 'Trainspotting'. Begbie told him to ' f uck off ye Radge C unt', at the aintree grand national when Cheggers tried to interview him in the crowd.
60 years old. Nae Age for Cheggers to check oot.
RIP.

"...The monkey is never dead, Dealer. The monkey never dies. When you kick him off, he just hides in a corner, waiting his turn."
He got famous after I left the UK and his type of telly didn't get exported so I didn't know him as a 'celebrity'.
What I know him for was the savagely hilarious, self-deprecating humour he did as part of the 'gang of TV losers and has-beens' in various Gervais/Merchant programs. Wicked, marvellous stuff!
