Here is a great video about the formation of QPR - and how it was formed out of 2 church missions on the Queens Park estate
I'm giving a talk on the history of the club for Willesden Local History Society on 18th April. It's at 7:30pm at St.Mary's Parish Centre which is in Neasden Lane, Willesden. Everyone welcome - for members it's free, non members £1

I'm fasinated by the early days of the game and love this! Thanks for the brilliant research and film about stuff I only had the haziest idea of. It's great that the Insitute (and estate) still stands and it looks like a lovely old building, too. Will take a trip to see the it sometime and hopefully come to the talk in April.
Curious that we should have evolved out of a merger considering the much later business with Brentford. I imagine some Christchurch Rangers fans still seething. It also occurs to me that the name Rangers basically means the same as Wanderers or Rovers, so we could have easily have been Christchurch and then Queens Park Rovers, for instance. Oh, and we all know (and this video reminds us) that the date on our badge is basically a fib, which I find pretty funny really. Is see the plaque is more honest. http://www.queensparkcommunitycouncil.gov.uk/local-groups-and-clubs/st-judes-hal
