Hi all, I have recently been successful in the ballot for the Prudential Ride London, the 100mile bike race through town to Box Hill and back.

Apart from the gym I don't cycle so this is going to be a ballache (pun slightly intended) to train for and complete.
However I am doing it for a cause to help spur me on. Ovarian cancer can affect any women at any age and gets a lot less publicity than many other cancers. We all have a mum, sister, gran, aunt, niece or friend who could be affected by this disease. It has touched my girlfriends family and it is amazing to see what this charity does for people affected.

Just a quick update, Target can do the following with monies raised;
"£10 could enable 20 GPs to update their knowledge of ovarian cancer and best practice for early diagnosis
£30 could pay for one hour of medical research into new treatments
£50 could help 200 people to learn about the symptoms of ovarian cancer by receiving our symptoms leaflet
£100 could provide 60 women diagnosed with ovarian cancer with a printed copy of one our Information Standard accredited publications, offering expert advice, practical information and emotional support."
