He had some sort of pre-season with Fulham and City. His worst record was at Blackburn, where he didn't have a transfer window opened when he joined, as opposed to the others. Would be a bad appointment, but if he matches his record with us, he may keep them up. |  |

If he does take the job and they still go down he'll maintain that "the damage was already done, 8 games not enough, I did all I could, I should be judged over a season etc." in order to maintain it's not really down to him. Which, is kind of right but I would love it to happen just so he knows what it would feel like and if Stoke went down too then his combined record over a season is relegation. |  | | |
