Sad thing about some of the Burmese minorites such as the Karen and is that they fought fiercely for the Brits in the war against Japan and the Burmese under promises of post war protection from the British.

Obviously, those promises were swiftly reneged upon after the war, leaving our former allies abandoned and up sh!t creek to face decades of oppression and atrocities at the hands of the Burmese who were out for revenge after losing to them in the war. They've been fighting guerilla wars ever since with young kids and old rifles against the might of the Burmese military.

Poor effort there from the British government if that's how it went down.

And now this latest insult.
