Thought I’d have a bit of lunch and catch up with the Colombia Japan game and find some woman’s sneaked onto the set, joined the panel and they’ve not even called security.
Now it’s turned into some sort of cookery programme. WTF is going on?

You mean the woman who seems to understand the game as well as all the men?

2/10 must try harder.

joking aside, all the channels seem to be obsessed with having women panellists now. even on the cricket. Just seems to be a flavour of the month

Loved it the other day when Aluko had th3 audacity to disagree with Evra (i think it was him) and say that she felt that Serbia were playing the better football and were on top, only to be talked down by Larsson in an almost condescending way to day Costa Rica were the better team.
She was not invited to speak again, only for the commentary team to be plugged back in and McCoist to agree that Serbia were by far the best team..

I've really liked Ally McCoist on comms duty, big fan. Also remember watching that and thinking Aluko was clearly right, Serbia were much better than Costa Rica, just not making it count at the time.

Me too, RBlock - a good pairing with John Champion who is far too sensible.
Please. someone show me the Patrice Evra dancing video again. What a character.
Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

There was a point where Evra started sarcastically clapping her. Guess she should get fired for attacking a fan to know what football is really about

Seriously though I don’t see a problem with people complaining about women pundits if they’re not very good but complaining just because they’re women?

Who’s complaining?
My point was it seems to be flavour of the month and a recent trend. Don’t recall TMS and WC coverage having as many women (if any) as in previous years.

Ok fair enough not complaining. Commenting shall we say.
Yes it’s definitely a recent trend. Female presenters have been around a while but not pundits/ commentators. Flavour of the month tends to imply it might be temporary? I don’t watch much sport on tv these days as I find most of it a bit shite. Tour de France I usually enjoy although I tend to dip in/out of it and not watch it every day. Will watch the highlights from the cricket yesterday when I get home.
I actually find the blokiness in tv football a bit tiresome personally.

I’m also lead to believe they have the vote.

its not "flavour of the month" The world is changing, a correction is taking place, some may argue that its actually an over correction but female presenters and now pundits are here to stay in sport and its no bad thing in my opinion, any woman pulled in of the street would be preferable to Evra for me.
more honest commentary and less old pals act is a breath of fresh air
