Very sad to hear. Really lovely bloke who was literally part of the furniture for about 3 decades. Condolences to his family, you've lost a good 'un.

Great bloke. took training for me my brother and lots of our pals at Collville boys Club Coverdale Road for years. Every Tuesday and Thursday night.
Met up with him after the cup defeat at Old Trafford in the mid nineties and he remembered every single one of us by name even though it was 25 years after boys club.
RIP Les.

Knew Les and his family well as they were customers in Dad’s shop in Thorpebank Road. David and Lisa I also knew well. Real decent family. Used to be able to get me some cheap Fred Perry shirts in the early eighties. Rest in Peace Les. My dear old Dad is already up there chewing the fat over the R’s!
