Returned to his club but apparently training with the reserves pending an imminent transfer. Hope it’s us. He is quality and a good age so will still improve further in ability and value.

If he's basics prices we may be in.... if he's taste the difference we're out.

I know little about him - defender?

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Supposedly turned down a £5,000,000 contract recently. So doubt he's heading to us. Luongo may put in a good word for us. Although I'd say there's more chance of Terry Butcher playing at centre half for us than Sainsbury.

Are other branches of Sainsbury available or is it just the Trent store?

Never knowingly right.

You're thinking of his brother Terence, worked at the Derby store.

Seems to have become a bit of a meme on certain sides of QPR Twitter and I'm not sure why. Is there anything concrete to it?

The same mouth-breathing, window-licking, 'manlikeShodipo' side that spent two years responding to every club announcement with "announce Ravel"?

I was trying to be diplomatic.

To be fair, probably the sons of their mouth-breathing window-licking senile dads who can't grasp the concept of not starting duplicate threads on message boards.

Live in London or Birmingham? Easy choice you would think.

I hear he's comfortable in possession. I always like a defender who doesnt treat the ball like an unexplained item in the bagging area.

Sainsbury has captained the national team a few times in the absence of Jedinak so he is yet another possible captain for us

Thinking the same we were under the impression he was travelling to the UK, presumably for contract talks with a club or maybe his agent is still touting him around in the market.

The fact Dave Mc gave this some credence raised my hopes, fingers crossed he chooses the Rs but if it all comes down to money well.......

according to his Chinese clubs website he is listed in their reserve team along with another Brazilian

They have 5 or 6 foreign players in the first team squad and are only allowed 3 to appear on a matchday squad.

He hasnt played for them since 2016 and his contract runs out Jan 2019.

They paid $1.5 million .

Hes way down the pecking order with these Chinese clubs looking for overseas flair players or big names

captains fantastic

They wanted big money for his signature, we said no
We discussed a loan, I think its still on the table.

I suspect it will happen, I also suspect he is training with us already as I think he has dual citizenship and so can remain and work within the UK without a visa. I cant see him flying all of the way over here and then going all the way back. My biggest fear is that someone else sweeps in and signs him.

He’s in London meeting with Les and McLaren according to this report in Oz media. Fingers crossed.

Do we know why he's 'surplus to requirements' though? Not interested? Is he a wrong un? Is he utter gash? Is he?

Thanks for update & just reading on SMH and they are saying same.
Also that his Chinese club has gone through 6x managers in his time there so can excuse him being keen to move on - even QPR is more stable.
Says he's very good mates with Luongo & at 26yo would be nice addition.
Hopefully sorted this week.

Sucks that Nine and SMH (Fairfax) are now the same company. Media diversity we ain't.
