according to his Chinese clubs website he is listed in their reserve team along with another Brazilian
They have 5 or 6 foreign players in the first team squad and are only allowed 3 to appear on a matchday squad.
He hasnt played for them since 2016 and his contract runs out Jan 2019.
They paid $1.5 million .

We discussed a loan, I think its still on the table.
I suspect it will happen, I also suspect he is training with us already as I think he has dual citizenship and so can remain and work within the UK without a visa. I cant see him flying all of the way over here and then going all the way back. My biggest fear is that someone else sweeps in and signs him. |  |
