Pretty sure Dean Neal and Wayne Fereday made their debuts that night and Dean Neal scored two.

Their away support at LR has always been tremendous, a fair few years ago we had them at home on an evening game and as usual they had a big turn out and as always sang to their hearts content 'Goodnight Irene' they made that song their own, fair play to them. | |

Almost. 17 year old Fereday did make his debut and was the one that bagged a brace. Don Shanks and Bob Hazell got the other two. I think Rovers got relegated that season.
