Cover one in slabs of meat. Stick it in the back four. Ref would would never know. Gotta be an improvement on what we've got at the moment. It's even does the Paul Smyth thing.

We can't be signing too many players when we're supposed to be developing the youth so we can sell them at a high profit. (Clearly no one got the memo when we sold Smithies off too cheaply).

Who is going to find us an attractive proposition with such a bad start, uncertainty over the manager, a hostile crowd and, for a footballer low wages.
If we are going to ditch Schteve, then better to do it now, remove one of the uncertainties and give ourselves a few more days of the loan window.
BUT that presupposes that we have someone lined up to take over.

It'll go to the eleventh hour, I expect - and that's not our fault, it's just players and their agents holding out to see what the choices are.
As others have said, we're not exactly winning the beauty contest at the moment - we might be like the Xmas Eve housewife going after the last turkey in the shop. Unless they can fit in and improve the squad we may as well save our money and try to work with what we have, rather than add players for the sake of it.
"Thank you for supporting Queens Park Rangers Steep Staircase"... and I thought I'd signed up for a rollercoaster.
The problem the club has is it can't offer competitive wages against other Championship sides and we are whipping boys at the moment, so who would want to come to a team that gets thrashed every game?
Well McClaren had two options. Replace those who left with players recommended by Penrice who he was not sure about and needed development or go into the loan market and risk being outpriced or unable to get his more established targets
