RIP Burt Reynolds 20:04 - Sep 6 with 2835 viewsbosh67

Gone at 82. Never my favourite actor but grew up with a lot of his films. I wonder if they'll be able to re-home his hair?

Never knowingly right.

I was just going to post that, beat me to it. Great scene, great movie.

It's not real, though. It was played by an actor. Kind of spoils it, but oh well.

Quite appropriate that he died in organ donation week.
Now 4 bald men can start a new life after receiving some of his syrup.

The best sales rep for moustaches in the 1970's. Nearly every man [and some women ] had them then because of him.

There aint half been some clever bastards.

RIP Burt , Smokey and the bandit is brilliant although you will need the DVD as they cut the non pc bits out of it these days on the TV , Jackie Gleeson is Gold , "when we get home, im gonna punch your mamma in the mouth " and "no way do you come from these loins" classic lines
oh and both cannonball runs are a guilty pleasure of mine , I mean you have burt, Sammy davies jnr, dean martin, Rodger Moore, telly savalas , frank Sinatra , dom deluise , Farrah Fawcett , Jackie chan , Richard jaws kiel , Catherine bach , all camping it up

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

I'm proud of maybe 5 of them."

You're dead right, i absolutely hate it. Very, very few good modern movies and none with special effects in them.

The man who would be king, little big man, pulp fiction, fight club. No special effects.

Ummm... i assume you misunderstood my point.

It's a wonderful tear jerking scene showing how the retarded inbred kid is a virtuoso. If it was a genuine scene then it really would have been something truly magical and it's so realistic and well acted by the lad in question, that i don't think anybody ever knew it wasn't genuine. Obviously, if they've simply drafted in a musician to play the fiddle, instead of being one of the most, beautiful things i've ever witnessed in my life, it's just a scene in a movie, which i was gutted to find out.

Having had a brother who's been sick and in hospitals and stuff all of his life, it probably touched me a lot more than you i suppose. I couldn't watch that scene without tears forming. Not the same now.
