At least City won though.

Chelsea are the comedy troop that keep on giving this season. That was hilarious.

Lovely stuff. Add Kepa 2019 to Terry 2008 and Iniesta 2009.

Pretty sure they signed Kepa as his replacement?

Anyway, nice of Chelsea to remind us that we’re not alone in finding new ways to completely shoot ourselves in the foot.

Could that club be any more contemptible. A player willfully refusing to be substituted. Hazard taking the 5th penalty coz he wanted the glory of taking what could have been the winning pen(known in the trade as a Cristiano). The players run that club and they have done for years. Disgusting team.

The bloke on 5live said the laws say he should carry on playing as it’s up to the manager to sort it out.

And lovely that Sterling scores the decisive penalty after what he'd endured by some of the racist scum fans at their shitehole.

If I were his manager I think I would have told the referee to book him for time wasting and send him off if necessary. He'd also be getting plenty of practice sitting on the bench for the rest of the season.

Nice that the keeper made the effort to have his eyebrows done at the beauty salon before the game.

Love the faces on the suffering scummers behind the goal. Lovely stuff.

bit harsh on Hazard, mate! He's a diver, but there's some sense in having your best taker on the 5th pen as it might have the most pressure. Although, for me, I think the 4th is the one. If someone's missed, it means you might not take the fifth, but if no one's missed, it might be the key pen.

Bare bones.

A lot of ex players have said put you best penalty takers first. Score the goal, take the pressure off the next person.

The likes of Ronaldo and Hazard want the glory.

It's all about them, not the team.

Worth pointing out that you do NOT have to decide who takes what pen in advance.

yeah, not denying that - you may be right, but plenty of logic in the idea that the later pens will have even more pressure. Miss the first and you still have time to make that up, so why have a lesser penalty taker taking uour 4th or 5th? Or what if you have someone like Azpilicueta who you know is a great pen taker take the first to save your best for the most important one? Ex pros are full of views on psychology, but doesn't mean they're right. Most players will choose to take pens towards their own fans, which I think is madness. What's easier to block out? A load of people waving their arms about? Or the huge expectation of your own fans? I'd say the former, and have always thought so. Obviously nothing is fail safe, but of course, Chelsea were kicking towards their own fans on Sunday.

Bare bones.

Play on

So if you refuse to be substituted the law says play on but if you don't get off quick enough you're booked for time wasting.

So for best results argue about the substitution for 2mins then sprint off?

Another common laws myth - which I'm ashamed to say even some refs get wrong!
