Well, doesn't change diddly squat. If you're low on confidence and form before the meeting, confidence and form will still be low afterwards. You can't talk your way into confidence. It's just the sort of thing that gets said nowadays to try and help avoid mass panic, but i imagine they have similar discussions 365 days a year so don't expect a miracle.

Perhaps it is, but there are different kinds of team meetings. Not sure about football but in the NHL when a team's been on a lengthy losing run. The captains will sometimes call a "players only" meeting to the clear the air, no coaches/managers allowed. This sounds like one of those. [Post edited 21 Mar 2019 0:04]
