We're in FFP because of FFP. We haven't got the income stream to support an average competitive Championship side.

I don’t doubt FFP will act as a barrier, but I can think of half a billion reasons our profligacy got us into the mess in the first place, and why it will be a noose around our neck for some time to come. | |

Yet there weren't that many dissenting voices at the time the money was spent, just on who it was spent on; everyone had their favourites. I am sure we would have had many, many posters complaining about what was the point of rich owners if they aren't going to waste it on QPR. Reality check. |  |

But it won't. The money that was wasted was provided by the owners and has been written off. The FFP fine will be paid by the owners. There is no 'noose'. | |
