Was lucky enough to see him a couple of times. A drop of bourbon and a bit of New Orleans blues and boogie-woogie in the house tonight. Cheers Mac.

I am still Steve but no longer in Dagenham.

Saw him at the Dominion in 2000 (?).
The sound was awful until some bloke came on stage, sat at a piano, and directed the technicians until it was sorted.

Dr John then thanks this person, who turns out to be Jools Holland, and he then stays on for the rest of the gig

Lets hope he goes to the right place even if it’s the wrong time.

Gris Gris - an incredible album. Got into it in the 90s after Paul Weller covered Walk on Guilded Splinters but the original is on a different level altogether
