Oh good god foolish foolish fellow
My first game as a young un in 1980 and particularly in last twenty odd years - transfer windows, takeovers, new managers, interesting transfers, great results against the better sides - almost without fail I immediately feel positive - thinking this is where we get back to where we should be and my optimism lasts until 90 minutes have elapsed of the very next game on an all too regular occasion.
Tbh I think realism has struck - its the expectant optimism that is the killer - and you also know also you really should not be negative but relaity strikes and you know you really must simply forget about winning champions league the year after next...
I actually myself am not expecting anything more than a struggle to avoid relegation - but lack of money - whole new squad if I am proved wrong - i be very happy boy
but so many false dawns battle weary i guess
my expectations are avoiding relegation will be extremely hard - am sure the optimism is over after the stoke game because

It'll definitely be an intriguing start to the season that's for sure.
We've moved on players we have overly relied on yet we still had poor results and replaced them with two aging veterans we relied on, young-ens or unknowns.
