I've only ever met one QPR fan before, but i'm always chuffed by the amount of musicians and actors and that kind of folk who i read about being Rangers fans. What a brilliant album Never Mind The Bollocks is. To think people tried to say their music wasn't actually good. It was about the best thing out then or now.

Ps Ha, forgotten the name of that slimy turd doing his 'power stance' lmfao, oh my God i remember at the time he did that, Jesus wept. Was it Mo Molam also did the same thing? People earning good money telling him to stand like that. God give me strength. And these are our leaders.

If Beethoven was still alive he'd be a Rangers fan.

That's why there's a Beethoven Street in Queen's Park. He used to go to all the early home games.

I never really got the Clash. Wanted to, but couldn't.

There's a Summer LFW thread there somewhere...stuff you never 'Got'.

Never got Elvis Costello.

NW5 will have the definitive list of Rangers musicians. Robert Smith would be top of mine.

Robert Smith would be my favourite, too.

Elvis Costello is a good call. Best song is a cover version (Good Year For The Roses), lots of other stuff is pure pants, did a couple of dodgy 'back to roots' tours.

I still love some of his stuff ('New Lace Sleeves', 'Alison') but he is borderline boring.

Lol oops. Paul Cook i was talking about of course. I'm blaming the power stance for distracting me.

Also we have Rat Scabies or Captain Sensible, I forget which.

But strangely, followed Brentford. Not a lot of people know that.

Maybe we should get Wagner from Huddersfield. He should be on our Chopin Liszt.

Not sure about the drummers, Cook & Scabies.
Glen Matlock is a confirmed Sex Pistol Ranger.
I think the Croydon Captain is Palarse. Awkward as he now lives in Brighton.

What !?!? I’m gobsmacked Brian.

London Calling ? What an album. (Even the Band v Record Company story behind it’s pricing). The single/song and it’s nod to QPR in the fade out at the end - “I never felt so much alike, alike, alike..... (aborted to avoid saying the title and paying royalties to the original). White Man in Hammersmith Palais, Bankrobber, Magnificent 7, Straight to Hell.....

And Costello ? Wow! Admittedly not much of value since Spike, but 10 or so albums are great. Imperial Bedroom ? Lyrically sublime. May I point you in the direction of Shipbuilding, I Want You (possibly the most sinister love song ever written), Olivers Army, Everyday I Write the Book, Veronica, the list goes on......

Now Radiohead, that’s a different matter entirely.

Sandanista for me, the diversification on that album is something else. Triple LP for a price of a single, which trumped London Calling, which in itself was an absolute masterpiece. Oh as a 13 year old listening to that album for the first time, trying to remember the lyrics of each song, recording onto a C60 cassette only to find that it wouldn't fit. Had to resort to a C120 in the end.

Poll: Where will Clive put QPR in his new season preview
