Can anyone recommend a decent site that will list all our ins and out in detail, including career histories?

Need to do some homework for the upcoming season!

Go on bbc.co.uk and then go to transfers. Updates day by day and if you click on the players name it highlights some info on their career, certainly recent.

Nothing on their political leanings though!

Click on "news" at the top left of this page, then read Clive's reports?

Soccerbase is best for career stats, appearances etc.
Transfr Market is best for who's moved where and for how much.

Cheers.

Things were a lot easier when we were buying high profile charlatans.

I think the most interesting stat / info on Transfermarkt is:

13 Players leave with a stated value of £6.57m*
13 Players arrive with a transfer outlay of £0.00

Wheelin' and a-dealin'.

Side note: Joel Lynch is still without a club

* Matt Smith to Millwall and Matt Ingram to Hull are not counted in the total, so it will be a bit more. Most likely £6.57m plus 500 Nectar points and a KFC Family Bucket.

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Nectar points can be sometimes redeemed for things of value, thus I think you have exaggerated the value here.
KFC family bucket is full of rubbish, therefore your analysis is correct here.

What is this millions of £ witchery you speak off?

Transfermarkt transfer fees are reasonably educated/reported estimates, but don't take them as insider gospel or anything. You get some weird numbers occasionally.

It's not perfect but I sometimes prefer Soccerway to Soccerbase - appearances by season, injury data, other little bits.
