Could be journo trolling. But he is correct when he joined all the quality players like Freeman, Eze, BFG, Hall, Furs2, Cameron etc, he with his cart horse turning capability did indeed bring the team down to a "mediocre side".

If the quote is correct, then he knows this himself as he says "I’ve always", yes you always have, I agree. This is because your the one who brings them down...allegedly.

In fairness he isn't wrong, Forest and Qpr were mediocre when he played for them, he was a part of that yes but not the only reason.

I don't see the issue with him saying that.

Exactly. He's correct that we were "mediocre" when he played for us, one of the main reasons being his "performances" in the centre of defence. Probably playing at his correct level in League One.
