We look shot - same as what happened last season - going well and then the wheels fell off.
Conceding at least 2 goals a game for 10 games - something we haven't done for 70+ years.

This is not looking good.
I'm not sure what the answer is - but if I was Mark Warburton would be looking at getting someone in to sort the defence out - what's Gerry Francis doing these days.

Yes it's not looking good. I wouldn't bet on it, but it Wouldbe nice to try and not panic and stick with Warburton for a while

Manager took the plaudits earlier in the season he now has to take the wrap for how shambolic we are atm, he needs to stop with this playing from the back the defence can’t do it , he needs to set up for the next couple of games with a defensive mindset, drop chair, drop Amos who btw is a sh1thouse and Eze if needs be , play scowen with ball go to a back four and try and grind out a result , we are so predictable

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

They need to stick with Warburton absolutely but he needs to be more pragmatic. As I said on the match thread, it might go totally against his principles but at Derby next time a Jose Mourinho style, anti-football, park the bus 0-0, has to be ground out at Derby.

The lack of clean sheets and the 10 games now and counting, conceding at least 2 goals stat HAS to be got rid of as it is now badly affecting the players' confidence especially when they go behind.

I fear though that after tonight, the Twitter twáts will be in Fernandes' ear banging the Warnock drum...

In 2 of those 10 games we scored more than the opposition and won.In 2 more we drew,so it’s only the 6 defeats.

trying to be optimistic, but maybe to finally get a proper beating, a thrashing, is what we needed. To play badly and get punished, as before we had always been doing some nice stuff and just managing to let in some silly goals and concede more than we scored. Today we shipped 4, and scored none, and by all accounts (thankfully I made a late call not to pay to watch the game, as I didn't feel confident about the game) we played poorly, so the players/manager maybe start to feel they need to change something after all, and it was not just bad luck in the last xx games that we conceded 2 goals a game..

So, being hopeful, we should see a big reaction next game and a clean sheet!

Trouble is I’m not sure any of our defence are able to keep a clean sheet. Was like watching three Gus Caesers out there tonight.

Scowen Did well when he came on tonight , could /should have scored to bring it level , country mile better than Amos who is no way ready for this division or the predicament we are currently in

Yes Stow, I get that, it IS only six defeats but it is still nearly SEVENTY years (another record breaking stat we seem to specialise in) since we have conceded at least two in ten consecutive games. That has got to stop as us scoring more than the oppo was never going to continue. It might be a bit Tony Pulis but if you don't concede, you dont lose.

Mate, Scowen is dreadful. He was the worst player on the pitch from when he came on today. Eze worked twice as hard as him and is ten times the footballer.

Scowen should not be near this side.

So 2 wins, 2 draws and 6 defeats? 8 points from 10 games. That’s still dreadful, guaranteed relegation form. And more importantly, it’s 2 points in 6 games conceding 14, I believe.

Eze was again not involved enough , same as last time he went away on England duty his form dropped , I wasNt comparing him to Eze , I was comparing hImmto Amos who was awful . Seems your in the Scowen is shit brigade no worries each to there own

Who would you prefer in the Scowen roll out of interest?

Cameron
Amos
Smith

Are you mad?!! He was woeful! He barely tracked back and failed to track his runner multiple times. He misplaced passed, didn’t make a single tackle but committed 3 fouls and got booked. And we conceded 3 whilst he was on. He was terrible.

This Scowen nonsense has to stop. He is pony.

“Did well”...good grief. We just lost 4-0 at home. 3-0 in the second half and he was the one change at the half.

We're back where we started in terms of confidence and league position, but we've only put points on the board at all by playing positive football. Whenever we tried to do defensive grind-it-out in the last couple of seasons, we were fking dreadful at it, and that's when we had canny pros like Freeman onboard and Matt Smith as a big lump.

Warburton's "do Plan A better" was always going to be a hostage to fortune, but the players at the club now don't give us many other options.

This is a bad situation and could get worse, but trying to get this lot to go full Pulis isn't going to work either.

In the short term, Kelly back in as soon as he's fit, Barbet back in as soon as he's fit, give Osayi-Samuel a run in place of Chair, who I love but is clearly knackered. Then cross our fingers.

Scowen did alright, some great blocks and tackles tonight. Offers way more than Ball and Amos.

One positive is we are playing Derby next and they are quite a poor team.

When is Barbet back?
Our record with him in the team is significantly better than when he has not played.

Stopped one on the line , sending off happened as well which is why he came on for chair also , Hugill came on at half time for Amos so second sub don’t let a few facts get in the way of a good hanging hey , nearly scored which is more than wells and Hugill did . Feck me when you don’t like a player you don’t ‘hide the fact do you , next thing I’d guess is Amos should have stayed in the pitch as he’s got nicer hair than Scowen

Eze did his job. He worked harder than most op.

Ball is comfortably the best holding midfielder. He can actually pass forward competently.

Who plays with him in a 442, or who plays with him and Eze in a 532, is a good question. I think all the options are poor. Cameron has lost all pace and was dreadful in two successive home games. Under pressure he can’t play forward. Scowen is positionally dreadful also very poor on the ball. He constantly overbite passes. He also only plays the way he’s facing which means he stops us playing out (Brentford at home, Reading at home...). Amos, IMO, is lazy. Where Eze offers for the ball, he hides. I think he has the talent but not the heart. If he upped his work rate off the ball as well as on, then maybe. Smith, who knows, we’ve seen so little of him.

It’s a big problem, I grant you. But Scowen is not a solution.

Jeez. Yes, 2nd sub, thank you for the correction.

Stop on the line? The header? Remarkable. It would have been a total f**ck up had it not happened. It would have hit him.

Twice he let his man run off him with no tracking for a one two. Once he lost the ball in the corner and. Walked back. Wellls and Eze bolted back to cover him. Got booked. Committed a cynical foul straight after, when we already had only 10. Misplaced pass after pass.

I genuinely cannot believe people are defending him. Everyone in the pub after was in agreement he was woeful! Were you actually there??
