QPR take excellent point from Wayne's World - Report 2nd Dec 2019 10:09
QPR recovered admirably from their midweek mauling by Nottingham Forest with an improved defensive display and composed performance with the ball in a 1-1 draw at home specialists Derby on Saturday. 14

On Sky Sports News on Saturday they made it sound like the whole stadium was shouting Rooney, Rooney

When you watch the highlights on Sky yesterday it was near silence which was quite amusing

I was surprised, it was dead! It was freezing, so everybody in gloves, which mutes it a bit I guess, but still. They were just a bit like, 'meh'.

I mostly heard rousing choruses of “Oh, Bobby Zamora” on the telecast. Well done to those who sang their greats out. Made me smile. 😃

Poll: Where will we finish up next season?

It was a real damp squib. I thought he would have walked around a bit clapping his new audience but no just walked out hardly got his hands out of his pockets and walked back again.

They also sang 'Richard Keogh, you should have walked home' which was quite funny as well as 'Crying on the telly, we could see you crying on the telly'

We were the better team just lacked confidence- otherwise would have won. Solid performance although Derby are not a good team (in my humble opinion)

Kudos to Warbs for taking a pragmatic and sensible approach with his team selection. We clearly needed some experience on the pitch to hold it all together.
Have to agree that Chair has gone off the boil and Whilst Kane does provide an attacking threat, he is a bit of a defensive liability.

Time to adapt our approach a little and find a good balance between our preferred attacking style and tightening things up a bit. It might not be as much fun to watch, but neither were the performances against Brentford and Forest.

Just watched the 90'

On the refereeing side, IMHO;

It WAS a pen & nothing wrong with the run up.

Added time 1st half was spot on but not sure where 4 mins came from 2nd half - 3 subs and 1 double one did not take 4 mins.

Cameron - technically could have been sent off I guess for getting a second yellow for delaying the restart but can't see anyone getting one for that at this level at least.

One thing no one has mentioned and there weren't any appeals, probably due to lack of law knowledge - 43rd min Derby keeper deliberately parried the ball with his hands and then picked it up - it wasn't a shot so very generous to call that first touch a 'save' which it would have to be to make picking the ball up legal - should have been IDFK to us I think.

Lawrence (pull back) and Hughill (late challenge) also lucky to escape yellows I thought.

QPR take excellent point from Wayne's World - Report on 19:25 - Dec 2 with 2085 viewsderbyhoop

Probably the only game I will see this season. And I travelled 1650 kms to see it.

A poor game between 2 mid-table sides on a freezing cold afternoon, decided by a set piece for each. It couldn't get much more exciting, could it?

Bringing the senior pros into the side meant we tightened up considerably. However, it meant we didn't offer the attacking threat of earlier games. BOS and Eze threatened to provide some magic, but only in patches. Derby were even less imaginative and looked a poor side. Big shout out to the Rs fans who were in good voice throughout. Bobby Zamora, Richard Keogh and Tom Lawrence, you should be in jail being particular highlights.

The Best Bits
I did have a couple of pints of Gemini ale in the Smithfield and met my Derbyshire mates, before getting the overnight ferry back to France, from where I will follow the club on various media outlets.
And another prediction spot on, putting me top of the monthly leaderboard from November.

Thought we played this game just right. On my away visits this season to Stoke, Millwall and Derby have not felt during these games that we would not get a result. I am starting think that we play better away from home on slightly wider slightly larger pitches than on our narrower tight pitch. Samuel deserves a special mention he was very good, also Amos deserves a mention as well as Leistner who looked solid. Eze another good performance. Pattern for me this season is we play much better and get results against the mid to lower table teams, while we seem to lack confidence and are nervous against the top 10 placed teams. Interesting to see how we deal with Preston on Saturday who are going well this season and whether we can make an impact against one of the early leading teams of the season so far.

Considering some of the mindless jobworths we have to put up with I think the Derby stewards deserve a mention. Ignoring the agency staff, those who worked directly for the club were superb.
The bloke who ran our right side was ready for a laugh, threatened to throw us all out every time Bobby Zamora was mentioned and then shook every one of us by the hand at the end wishing us a good season.

Given how much abuse stewards tend to get, always nice to hear these stories.

"Just north of 26,000 traipsed through office car parks and vehicle showrooms to the world’s most valuable patch of retail estate land on Saturday afternoon. "

Great opening. You do love that stadium so.

What about the push by Wisdom on Eze in the second half? A clear push in the penalty area. Might have been soft, but that is a penalty.

I was really impressed with the stewards and the guy wishing us a safe journey home, shook our hands was definitely genuine - should be a lot more of that.

Agree 100% this was a penalty

I am surprised not many people have mentioned it

Also the commentator laughed it off and said Eze made a big deal of it.

Regardless it was a push inside the penalty area and we should have been given a penalty.

I've seen so many soft penalties given in the past few years and based on how the rules are interpreted - it had to be a penalty.

Do you think it was a penalty?

Good point - I had forgotten that one in my summary.

Referee annoying answer alert!...…..

Technically yes it was a push, yes it was in the area so that's a pen - but ball practically out of play, no one expecting a pen, even Eze doesn't really appeal - that's a 'no surprises' decision' for me

That will annoy some but just my opinion based on experience.
