The early PNE Match Thread 12:06 - Dec 6 with 17018 views | PinnerPaul | just noticed the odds and thought may as well start the match thread with the post. Amazingly we are favourites, Preston a big 2/1 to win. Having said that I'm going for a 1-1 draw tomorrow.

A heartwarming and reassuring result, which we needed, and by all accounts a robust and capable performance. And, finally, that elusive clean sheet, crowned by a confidence-boosting showing for Lumley - who I don't really rate, but do want to support of course. Only 3 points separate Preston in 7th and ourselves in 14th! It really is a snakes and ladders league for almost anyone to storm up, with a bit of luck and any kind of run of results.

I can take a hint! If you can recommend a good restaurant open on the 26th, I'll let you off. We used to like the Waterfront but that closed years back and Hayfield Manor is just a bit pricey.

The early PNE Match Thread on 18:47 - Dec 7 with 1025 views | BrianMcCarthy | Right, Isaac's, MacCurtain Street. - probably the best all 'round restaurant in Cork. €50-60 a head with drinks, more if you order an extra bottle. I like it, but it's a bit stuffy. On the other hand, Lowery's pub is across the road for befores or afters. Greene's on Washington Street and the Strasbourg Goose on French Church Street are top quality but mad dear. The Cornstore, Cornmarket Street - Europen, informal, very good food, great service. Cheaper but still good quality. Was there recently for a family meal (all ages) and everyone really enjoyed the food and the evening. Café Paradiso Washington Street - vegetarian but really tasty. Informal and cool.

Cheers Brian. Isaac's sounds ideal, especially with a good boozer across the road. Back to QPR. So happy with the result today. You R'sss!!!
