Apart from Rodney & the Morgan twins he was the old mans favourite player which says a lot as he rates absolutely no one , always a head of his time is what dad always said about him
RIP Mr Peters

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

I met Martin many times, as my mate was married to his daughter Leanne. He was a really genuine bloke who would sit down and chat about football for ages. He will be missed by his family who were very tight knit. RIP Martin

RIP: Sniffer, Doug and Pat

RIP. Any news on Greavsie? Believe he was there at the first game at the new Tottenham stadium.

A bit before my time, but RIP to a great player by all accounts - the first £200 000 man. Strange to live from 1943-2019, but to be chiefly remembered for 1966. It's poignant for me to see my parent's generation falling with increasing frequency- the famous and unfamous. Hope at least one of the boys of '66 lives to see England win it again.

Really moving reading the tributes below the line here. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/dec/21/martin-peters-world-cup-england

I only saw him play in the twilight of his career but by all accounts was a good egg. RIP Martin.

I have a claim to fame - I was his paper boy back in the day. Really nice man who always had time to talk to you and was a good tipper at Christmas. It was an honour to deliver your papers martin. RIP.
