Totally agree but in fairness to Warburton he identified CB's and GK as our weak spots from pre-season and has had to adjust to compensate. We're not as attacking or enjoyable to watch but he's had to do something with the CB's given our inability to mark-up in the box. |  | | |

He may have identified those areas as problems but its not stopped us letting in our standard two goals a game. It has achieved the nullification of Manning as a major attacking threat though. |  | | |

Funny enough first few minutes he was playing higher up but it didn't quite work out.
He had the small matter of Jarrod Bowen to worry about after that. To Mannings credit Bowen had a relatively quiet game. |  |

Thought Manning has his best defensive game at left back for us - totally nullified Bowen and put in 3 or 4 really tasty tackles on him. For once Bowen did f–k all.
Infuriating game but if we’d had tucked away any of those 4/5 chances or Lumley hadn’t thrown in another one we’d all be happy tonight. |  | | |
