I started playing adult football in the 67/68 season, finishing as runners up in the Chesham Sunday League, but I had to wait for the following season for Chesham St Marys to win their division in the Wycombe Combination. At that time I thought I'd win something every season!

Not when I was 15 but does remind me that my brother worked on the lighthouse supply boats and Princess Anne was always on board as she's the patron of Northern Lighthouse Board.
Brother said she was good laugh and would be on for long trips as she enjoyed it all. He was a steward and meant silver service etc, all very formal but his boss at the time was a bit peculiar (to say the least) and used to collect her public hair in an autograph book😂😂
He was an odd fella but did seem harmless, his wife taught my kids to swim as it happens, so not all bad.
