MLB 13:32 - Jul 25 with 1863 views | BrianMcCarthy | First game yesterday. Great to have it back in any form. And how's that for timing too - two days after Rangers wrap up for the season. Looks like a lean year for my Red Sox, though.

Football in this case but he plays both codes. Tourlestrane, a little Co Sligo parish right on the Mayo border. We actively dislike our neighbours (in footballing terms) but get a great laugh every year at the different ways they manage not to win Sam!

Ya, bless them!! Great to have the GAA back. I love hurling and watch Cork whenever I can but I was brought up in a football area so that's what I got involved with. I'm coaching for the last 11 years and really love it. Championship tonight! Well done to your lad.

It's good to have it back isn't it Brian. It's a good backdrop to an evening's pootling. [Post edited 26 Jul 2020 16:00]

Nice discussion and change of pace from the problems of the world or who will be in the starting 11 for QPR next season . I actually hold the scoring record in hurling for my parish to this day I believe having dispatched 6 goals and 3 points against our neighbors way back in the day.It was before color tvs too or any kind of stats being recorded so it exists only in my memory and I only bring it up when really drunk . Hard to top Hurling though I would take it against almost every sport in the world at todays standard of skill

Have to agree CLAREMAN. Hurling not a high priority in Sligo, so I didn't have a great interest until I met my wife, a Gort woman (just up the road from you). She go me hooked and now, much to her amusement, I co-coach our son's underage team. She reckons it's no wonder they never win anything!

Looking bad now, Empire. Six teams now shut down. This season is a clogged-up sprint to the finish with little space for manouvre, probably too little to cope with these postponements. What's your feeling on it finishing? I'm not sure if Rob Manfred is the unluckiest Commissioner imaginable, or the worst, or both.
